The Minnesota Vikings raced forward with their rebuilding project last season by finishing 10-6 and reaching the playoffs ahead of projection. There's a sturdy blueprint in place this year with Peterson in his prime and a bunch of recent high draft picks. Peterson will again be the featured attraction for the Vikings.
Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier is hopeful he will have defensive tackle Kevin Williams back from a knee injury in time for the season opener at Detroit. Williams was injured on a low block in a game against San Francisco. Williams has a significantly bruised and hyperextended right knee.
