Host Iowa State shot 71 percent in the first half to open a 26-point cushion at the half en route to a 73-34 non-conference win Sunday.
North Dakota (0-2) missed on its first seven shots from the floor before Brianna Williams stole a pass and converted on the break to stop a 10-0 ISU run to start the game. ISU outshot UND 71 to 17 percent in the opening 20 minutes to take a 41-15 lead into halftime.
North Dakota (0-2) continues its four-game road swing next week when it heads to Duquesne on Wednesday and South Florida on Friday.
