After a tie Friday night the University of North Dakota men's hockey team claimed a 4-1 Western Collegiate Hockey Association victory over Wisconsin on Saturday.
UND snapped its longest winless streak (5 games) in 10 years with the victory and handed the Badgers their first WCHA loss in their last 12 games (7-1-4).
The victory boosted UND (9-5-6 WCHA, 14-8-6 overall) into a tie for third place in the WCHA with Denver and Minnesota. UND is two points behind Nebraska-Omaha, UND's opponent on the road next weekend.
