Grand forks police will be giving underage drinking some extra attention this summer. Authorities say they plan to go back and contact people previously cited for underage drinking to see how they got the beer and booze. P-d lt-dwight love says the goal is to learn more about who is supplying the stuff.
Lt-love says they plan to look into as many as 400 old cases to get a better handle on how the beer flows from point a to point b. special funding from the substance abuse prevention coalition and northern light youth services will help pay for the campaign.
In 2012 the grand forks p-d handed out 184 loud party tickets and cited 368 for minor in consumption / possession.
