The University of North Dakota is ready to launch a new strategic planning process.   President Mark Kennedy announced the make-up of the group in an e-mail to the campus community on Wednesday.   Kennedy says it will address key questions for UND moving forward.

Kennedy says today’s initial meeting is designed to be a “conversation starter” to help develop a rough outline of elements of a strategic plan.

Kennedy says UND and the University System have to do a better job of making the case for investments in higher education.  He also says students and faculty will have key roles in this planning process.

The goal of the group is to have a preliminary outline by December and a complete plan by May 2017.
