Governor jack dalrymple is being urged by top north Dakota democrats to call a special session to deal with the needs facing oil communities. In a letter to the governor today (mon) house democratic leader kenton onstad and senate minority leader mac schneider of grand forks say the state cannot wait until the 2015 session. Schneider says current funding levels are not keeping up with the pace of development in western north dakota.
Schneider says the adjustments to the oil production tax formula can be done quickly in perhaps a one or two day session.
