A total of 23 students and staff were screened Monday at Winship Elementary School after a student last week was diagnosed with Tuberculosis. Health officials say all but one of the tests came back normal. The one abnormal reading does not mean the individual has TB but has been referred on for further testing. The student does not exhibit signs of the illness but will be excluded from school until cleared by a healthcare professional. The Grand Forks area has confirmed 16 active cases of TB since September and 18 since last March. All of the cases have been linked to the original cluster.
