Additional test results are expected today after Grand Forks health officials screened dozens of students and staff at Phoenix Elementary School on Tuesday for Tuberculosis. Of the 52 tests reviewed to date all but one came back normal. One staff member had an abnormal result and was referred to their healthcare provider for further testing. The abnormal test does not mean the individual is infectious with TB but suggests the person has been exposed and further testing is needed. The tests were ordered after two students from the same family were confirmed to have the disease. Additional students have been screened since Tuesday and health officials expect more results today. Since September Grand Forks County has confirmed ten cases of TB -- a dozen cases since March.
