Summer Heat

Last month was the warmest July on record in Grand Forks. The NWS says the average temperature of 74.8 degrees was over six degrees above the norm. The previous warmest July occured in 1989 with an average of 73.9 degrees. While July was warm no daily record temperatures were set during the month. Precipitation was near normal thanks in part to a two inch downpour July 24th.
