A line of severe thunderstorms rumbled through the red river valley late last night. Weather warnings were posted from walsh and grand forks county to traill and southern polk (mn). The national weather service reported inch-and-three-quarter sized hail eight miles north of Lakota…nearly two-inches of rain southwest of adams…and strong winds damaged tree branches in larimore. On the Minnesota side of the river law enforcement reported a quonset was damaged east of roy lake along with tree and power lines down along the clearwater county line. Officially in grand forks at the national weather service office just under a-half inch of rain (.45 inches) splashed down.
