A north Dakota trooper escaped injury not once but twice this morning while assisting a motorists stuck in the ditch on i-29 north of the 32nd avenue exit at grand forks. While calling for a wreaker the patrol car was rear-ended by a pick-up that lost control on the icy interstate. Moments later two other vehicles crashed sending one into the front of the patrol car. H-p lt-dave wolf says drivers need to slow down because road conditions can change from mile to mile.
he urges motorists to move over when approaching an emergency vehicle – it’s not only common sense but it’s the law.
Wolf says the officer was checked over at altru hospital and is fine. he says the patrol car wasn’t as lucky…..it’s banged up pretty good.
