Grand Forks Police say they have cleared all rumors involving school threats making the rounds. PD Lt Mark Nelson says in two specific cases that they were able to track down the individuals who allegedly made certain statements and determiend they were not credible. The rumors have surfaced through word of mouth and on social media sites. Lt Nelson says they have been in contact with district administration and everyone is on the same page. School Superintendent Dr-Larry Nybladh says notices are going out to students and parents of central andredriverhigh schoolsthat the threats have been found to be without merit.
Nybladh says both the district and the GFPD are being extra vigilant in response to concerns about school safety nationwide.
