Three plus months after the fire at the under construction red river high school theatre project damage amounts have been tallied and settled. The January fire caused just under 322-thousand dollars in damage. The blaze was sparked by a propane torch that was being used to melt ice for roofing materials. Although the complex is not attached to the school itself classes were dismissed for the rest of the day. The fire delayed the construction by about two weeks. Business manager bill Hutchison says between insurance and other sources the cost of the repairs will be covered. Both the nine-point-four million dollar red river theatre and upgrades to central high school are expected to be completed this summer.
