How rough has this year’s flu season been?    North Dakota Health Department say bad enough to set a modern day record for influenza numbers.   The department has confirmed three-thousand-840 cases to date.  That’s higher than the three-thousand-817 cases for the entire 2007-2008 season.  So far this year 145 people have been hospitalized and there have been eight deaths.   The “bug” has targeted males and females pretty evenly but the under 19 crowd has been the hardest hit with one-thousand-943 cases to date.

In Minnesota health officials have confirmed 165 flu-related deaths.
