A new agreement with the NCAA will allow the Ralph Englestad Arena in Grand Forks to keep most…but not all…of the former UND nickname imagery located throughout the building. North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem says under the new plan the “Ralph” will not have to cover or remove thousands of logos inside the building and still be in compliance with NCAA policy on use of American nicknames. Stenehjem says signs on the outside that say “Home of the Fighting Sioux” will need to come down ASAP. The arena will also need to replace the logo carpeting once it wears out. The REA hosts UND hockey and basketball games.
