Grand Forks police searched by ground and air Sunday for a 31-year old man wanted in a series of events. On Friday afternoon police say Juan Angel Robles led them on a car chase that resulted in numerous cars being damaged and one injury. Robles managed to elude authorities after abandoning the vehicle. On Sunday Grand Forks police resumed the chase after receiving a report of a stolen s-u-v from a parking lot on 28th Avenue South. Shortly after one p-m authorities approached the stolen vehicle and Robles attempted to flee dragging one officer for a short distance. Police Lt- Roger Pohlman says that’s when the office fired a round towards the suspect. Pohlman says they pursued the stolen s-u-v for several blocks before robles eluded police for a second time. He was last seen heading south on I-29 near Gardner. Pohlman says the stolen 1998 ford expidition was recovered in Fargo afer the Grand Forks man eluded troopers in the F-M area. Robles remains at large. He is described as being five-seven….brown eyes and hair. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact authorities.
