The Grand Forks School Board approved the site selection for a new south side elementary school last night. The school will be located in the proposed Southern Estates project west of Columbia Road. Members also directed school administration to begin negotiating a purchase agreement for nine acres of land within the development. Superintendent Larry Nybladh says the plan is still in the early stages but there seems to be a lot of support for the project. Nybladh expects the school is expected to be ready by the fall of 2015. The price-tag for the construction is pegged at around ten million dollars.
