bids for construction of the new south side elementary school in grand forks are below project estimates. The 14-million 61-thousand dollar school building would house 350 students -- with expansion ready plans for 700. If the school is built for 700 students right away costs climb to nearly 15-and-a-half million. School superintendent dr-larry nybladh says the school board will have to decide which way to go. The bulk of the new school will be funded via a 15-million dollar school construction bond with an interest rate of only one-point-nine percent. the district received four construction bids. the facilities committee reviewed the options tuesday. The board will look over the numbers Monday night.
