A new south end elementary school in grand forks is one step closer to reality. The school board last night approved construction design plans for the two story building. The school would be designed for 700 students but could initially open for 350 depending upon the budget and bids. Tracy jordre of j-l-g architechts told the board project bids are expected to go out right after the first of the year with construction starting in march or april of 2014.
jordre says the board will have various options and costs to choose from as the project moves forward.
the cost estimates for contruction range from 13-point-six million to 15-point-58 million dollars.
