The design of a new south side elementary school in grand forks is taking shape. School board members reviewed schematic renderings for the 15-and-a-half million dollar project this week with architects. Some of the features include a two story building to maximize space…reduce costs…travel time in the hallways…and improve safety. The 88-thousand-500 square foot school would also offer a new model for education with each grade level assigned a destination pod with a commons area for learning. The estimated price-tag does not include the cost of land.
