It looks like a new grand forks library is the top choice of a working group. The task force has been looking over the various options for revamping the local book building. A final report will be presented to the grand forks library board later this month. Results of a community questionnaire compiled over the summer shows slightly more support for a new building over remodeling the existing complex. Over 700 people responded to the survey and on a one to five scale remodeling had a median score of two-point-79 and a new facility scored higher at three-point-six. The summary also found while most respondents view the library as a public responsibility support exists for the idea of private fundraising as well. a preliminary cost to fix and expand the existing the building was just shy of 14-million dollars.
