a slight dip is being reported in enrollment at north Dakota colleges and universities. The fall 2013 headcount stands at 48-thousand-15 -- down less than one-half percent from the previous year. Interim chancellor larry skogen says enrollment numbers are stable. Skogen says it’s a positive because national enrollment numbers are trending downward as is typical when the economy improves and people go back to work. A closer look shows 77-percent of students are enrolled in north Dakota universities and 23-percent attend community colleges. Nearly 52-percent list a north dakota home address while 30-percent comes from neighboring states -- Minnesota…south Dakota…and Montana. The university of north Dakota has the highest enrollment at 15-thousand-143.
