Backers of measure four will launch an informational blitz starting this week to help North Dakotans understand the impact of the statewide smoking ban. Jeanne Prom of the North Dakota Center for Tobacco Prevention and Control Policy says details of the law are available on the center’s website. Prom says they wanted to wait until after the election results were certified to kick-off the public campaign. Nearly 67-percent of voters supported a ban on smoking in indoor and public places of employment. Prom says there was overwhelming support for the ban as voters in every legislative district supported the measure. The new law goes into effect December 6th.
