north dakota may have the lowest unemployment rate in the nation but some of the highest rates within the state are in the northeast corner. North dakota’s not seasonally adjusted rate in july was two-point-nine percent. cavalier and grand forks counties are the only two in the region with jobless rates under four-percent at three-five and three-nine respectively. While ramsey county sits at four-point-six percent…nelson is at five…eddy five-and-a-half…walsh and Pembina are both over six-percent…benson eight-four… and rollete county nearly 17-percent. According to job service online job openings in the state are down two-point-six percent from one year ago but still total more than 20-thousand.
