North Dakota law enforcement say a 39-year old man who escaped from the James River Minimum Unit in Jamestown is back in custody.

Authorities say Nathan Lang fled the JRMU the night of July 18th.  He was serving a sentence for theft of property and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

On Friday the Carson County Sheriff’s Department in South Dakota received a tip from a citizen that Lang was in the area.  Authorities located the suspect at an abandoned farm east of SD Highway 63.  He initially tried to flee the scene into a nearby hayfield in a pickup but stopped the vehicle and was arrested without further incident.  The North Dakota Patrol says Lang’s girlfriend…Yorkshire Hoon…and a two-year old child were also located in the pickup.

Lang faces additional charges of burglary…theft…possession of stolen property…eluding…and child neglect.

The NDHP says Hoon faces charges of burglary…possession of stolen property…trespassing…and child neglect.

The two-year old was placed in the care of Protective Services.
