Beer…booze…and books are often all part of the college scene on north dakota campuses. The north Dakota consortium for substance abuse has a number of initiatives underway to help inform students on the dangers of high risk alcohol use. Member becky lamboley informed the state board of higher education last week that the group is also working on a statewide blood-alcohol concentration app for smart phone users. It would allow users to colculate B-A levels and call a cab at the push of a button.
lamboley says right now the app is still in the concept phase but the eventual goal is to help curb d-u-i’s and save lives. lamboley serves as director of student affairs for the north Dakota university system.
