A federal judge has granted a temporary injunction blocking north dakota’s law banning abortion as early as six weeks. The challenge was brought by the center for reproductive rights on behalf of the state’s abortion clinic. Center director bebe Anderson says the group is confident that the courts will continue to affirm that fundamental right as the legal battle continues. Anderson adds 40 years of supreme court precedent cannot be legislated away. The law was passed this year by the north Dakota legislature. it was scheduled to take effect august 1st.
