n-c-t-c has received an o-k from the f-a-a to fly small u-a-s flights over Roseau county. Northland community technical college has been working on the certificate of authorization for two years. The goal is to collect imagery from farm fields for precision ag activities. Those include crop health monitoring and pest detection to improved conservation and crop development. The c-o-a requires the college to obtain landowner approval…fly under 500 feet…and only use the imagery for educational purposes. the r-f-q…or request for qualifications…was reviewed by the county commission this week.
