l-m wind power continues to ramp up production and hiring of its u-s workforce – including in grand forks. The denmark-based blade manufacturer for wind turbines says the grand forks plant will have nearly 600 employees by the end of the year. It was just over a year ago the company announced it was laying off over 300 workers in grand forks because of uncertainty over the federal production tax credit for wind energy. in a prepared release the company says the little rock (Arkansas) plant employs over 400 workers. L-m wind power expects the workforce to grow to 12-hundred at the two plants combined in 2014.
