It''s a no-go for using what comes naturally at the landfill to heat and power equipment at the site. Consultants have told the city that setting up a system to trap and utilize the natural gas the dump generates would cost between 4.5 and 5.7 million dollars. Public Works Director Todd Feland says the move would not be cost effective at this time. State and federal grant dollars funded the 74-thousand dollar analysis.
