The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) along with the North Dakota Highway Patrol have opened I-29 from Fargo to Grand Forks. The roadway remains under a No Travel Advisory and motorists should not travel in the area due to heavy snow and high winds causing areas of near zero visibility, and snow and ice covered roadways which may make it unsafe to travel.

As a reminder the following advisories have previously been issued:

* I-94 is closed from the Montana state line to Fargo

* US 83 is closed from Bismarck to Underwood

* A No Travel Advisory remains in effect for state highways around Dickinson, Bismarck, Jamestown, Valley City, Fargo, Wahpeton and all areas south of US Highway 2.

* A Travel Alert in effect for all areas of the state north of US Highway 2 including surrounding areas north of the cities of Williston, Minot, Devils Lake, and Grand Forks.
