Hugo's Expands

Grand Forks based Hugo’s Family Marketplace has purchased J&B Foods in Park Rapids (MN).  The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the year.  Jeff and Bob Hensel started J&B foods in 1982 and opened a new 53-thousand square foot store in 2009.  Hugo’s President Kristi Magnuson Nelson says all J&B management and staff will be retained.  With the addition of the Park Rapids store Hugo’s will operate ten supermarkets and five liquor stores throughout North Dakota and Minnesota.
