The North Dakota Board of Higher Education will meet this week to discuss claims made against Chancellor Ham Shirvani. The board will meet Thursday to discuss alleged violations of the state’s open meetings and records laws and possible violations of state board policy. The decision follows last week’s board meeting in which Student Representative Sydney Hull raised questions in response to information he received from current and former NDUS employees. At the time Board President Duane Espegard of Grand Forks suggested the board take up the matter at a May gathering. On Saturday the board set the agenda for Thursday’s special meeting in Bismarck.
