A 31-year old Grand Forks man faces numerous charges after a series of high speed chases dating back to Friday. Authorities arrested Juan Robles shortly before ten a-m Tuesday. A tip from the public alerted police that Robles was in a car on 24th Avenue South. When officers ordered Robles to stop he took off down Columbia Road turning west on Merrifield Road. Speeds exceeded 100 miles per hour before Robles crashed his car trying to avoid a construction crew fixing potholes. Grand Forks Police Lt-Roger Pohlman says a taser was used to subdue Robles when he took off running towards the road crew vehicle.
