North dakota’s fuel assistance program is heating up for another cold weather season. The federally funded program assists low-income households in paying their fuel bills during the winter months. north Dakota director of economic assistance carol cartledge says around 13-thousand households received help this past heating season. Cartledge she expects about the same level of assistance this year.
to qualify for help a family of three for example must have an annual income of no more than 41-thousand-633 dollars. The average payment last year was one-thousand-33 dollars.
Applications for the fuel program are available as of this week online or at local county social service offices.
