Volunteers have resumed the building of the latest Red River Valley Habitat for Humanity home in Grand Forks. The new home project is for a single mom of two is located at 617 North 24th Street. Habitat started construction last Summer by clearing the site and pouring the foundation. The basement was capped during the Winter. Habitat houses are sold to partner families who otherwise would be unable to afford their own home. The sale is a no profit...zero percent interest loan built entirely with volunteer labor. The home is expected to be move in ready in about two months.
