an area of grand forks prone to flooding each spring may come through this year's event in relatively good shape. The greater grand forks greenway is the recreational land that lies between the permanent flood projects of grand forks and east grand forks. Greenway coordinator kim greendahl says despite about half the site getting wet the damage doesn’t appear to be as severe assome past events.
Greendahl says some clean-up will be needed along the lower trail areas and the dog park will need some work. Although final damage estimates won’t be known until the river recedes greendahl says there should be sufficient funds within the budget to complete the clean-up.
