North dakota’s congressional team joined members of the grand forks base realignment impact committee in a meeting with assistant secretary of the air force  Kathleen ferguson in Washington this week.   The group urged completion of the environmental review process so that site work can begin on the grand sky at the grand forks air force base.    the air force informed the group during the meeting that they have signed-off on the contractors chosen by grand forks county to help develop grand sky.    the county is leasing 217 acres of land at the base for  the u-a-s tech park. Members also pressed for return of a refueling tanker mission and continued development of the unmanned aircraft missions.
