The Grand Forks Public Service Answering Point handled a record number calls for service in 2021.
PSAP dispatchers handled 106,693 last year – or 33,000 more than seven years ago. A total of 24,343 of those contacts were 9-1-1 calls.
Just over half the calls involved the Grand Forks Police Department. The GFSO accounted for 21% of the call volume….followed by the UND PD at 12% and Grand Forks Fire Department at 5.4%.
