A grand forks student is being praised for her google-doodle. What’s that? It’s the ever-changing logo that appears on the search engine homepage. Red river high school freshman Camryn schall has been named a north Dakota doodle four winner. Fifty doodles from across the country were sleected by a panel of google employees as state winners. The theme of the contest was “if i could invent one thing to make the world a better place.” Five national finalists will be chosen with the top pick receiving a 30-thousand dollar scholarship. In addition the national winner’s school receives a 50-thousand dollar technology grant.
The public will now have the opportunity to vote for their favorite doodle until May 9th. All doodles are displayed in an online gallery at www.google.com/doodle4google/vote.html.
