Goodbye Signage

Work crews started removing the Home of the Fighting Sioux signage from outside the Ralph Englestad Arena on Monday. The removal of the logo was part of a negotiated addendum with the NCAA last month over the 2007 settlement agreement concerning UND's former nickname. The removal of the signs also brings the REA into compliance and allows the building to host championship events. Under the deal the arena will also have to replace logo carpeting inside the building -- as it wears out.
