The grand forks police department had more to do in 2011. the g-f-p-d handled 41-thousand-309 calls for service last year – or nearly 16-hundred more than 2010 and 21-hundred more than 2009. six of eight violent crime categories recorded over the year increases including: robbery...assault... burglary...larceny...auto theft...and arson. On the flip side the number of reported rapes declined 22-percent and there were no homicides in 2011
