The Grand Forks Airport set a couple of records in 2012. The GFK set a new high for boardings last year with 135-thousand-209 passengers going through the gates. That was over 18-thousand more than the previous record set in 2011. Airport Executive Director Patrick Dame says the airport also hit a high for airport operations. The airport logged 366-thousand-431 take-offs and landings last year. A large percentage of those flights are the result of UND’s aerospace program.
