The new terminal building at the Grand Forks Airport is getting ready to expand…parking. GFK officials will hold a pre-construction meeting later this week on a proposal to add 135 spaces to the existing parking lot. The airport is on pace for another record year for boardings. Airport Executive Director Patrick Dame says the airport is already running out of room. The additional parking will be east of the existing lot. The cost of the project is pegged at 540-thousand dollars. Dame says the airport is also looking at building a “discount” lot east of Airport Drive for overflow vehicles later this year.
