The grand forks school district has inked a new two year contract with the teachers that will be in place through the 2014-15 school year. The package will increase the cost to the district to the tune of three-point-seven percent in the first year and a six-point-one percent bump inyear two. on the salary front teacher pay will climb two-point-six percent next year. The agreement also calls on the district to continue to fund 76-percent of the cost for health insurance and to add another personal leave day into the mix. the teachers ratified the agreement earlier this month. The school board approved the plan on a six-to-one vote this week.
