Students in the grand forks school district may be starting the 2014-15 school year after labor day and ending in early june. Nearly 39-hundred people responded to the district’s calendar survey last month. two-thirds of respondents favored the option of starting school after labor day. School would start September 2nd and end June 4th. high school graduation would be pushed back to june 7th. the district has long started classes in late august in order to wrap things up by memorial day.
assistant superintendent jody thompson says the school board will review the survey results Monday night.
