The city of Grand Forks has revoked the transient merchant license for workers selling Dish One satellite service door to door. The license was pulled this week after the city received numerous complaints from residents over the sales tactics involving the door-to-door sales for the television service. The city says all sales activities by Dish One satellite are to cease immediately but installations of legally sold services can continue until completed. The Grand Forks Police Department has informed the corporate office in Utah about the revocation. Authorities say despite rumors the salespeople were not scam artists but they violated city code governing transient merchant license holders.
