GF Police are looking for suspected purse snatcher

Grand Forks Police are looking for a man suspected of stealing a purse early on the morning of July 4^th.

Police say, shortly after 4:00 AM, they were notified of a robbery in the 1800 block of 28^th Avenue South.

They say the victim was entering a nearby apartment complex when the suspect grabbed her purse, got onto a bicycle and fled.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian in his early 20s, approximately 5-foot-8, with a slim build and short hair. He was wearing a sleeveless shirt, gray shorts and a hat.

Police say some evidence from the incident was recovered by officers in the area of Westminster Court near the scene.

Residents and business owners in the area are encouraged to check any outdoor cameras they own, in an attempt to help identify the male suspect.
