A 56-year old Grand Forks man has been sentenced to 14 years in jail on a charge of transportation of minors. According to the U-S Attorney’s office Gregory Frohlich pleaded guilty in October of last year to transporting two mentally disabled girls from Grand Forks to Thief River Falls (MN) for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity. Authorities say the investigation by the GFPD revealed Frohlich engaged in sexual conduct with the girls for almost two years beginning when they were just 13 years of age. U-S District Judge Ralph Erickson also ordered Frohlich to register as a sex offender.
