Home sales in greater grand forks are off slightly so far in 2013 but it is not the result of a sluggish economy. Through the first half of 2013 a total of 302 homes…condos…and townhomes have exchanged hands. That compares to 332 at the same time last year. John colter of the grand forks board of realtors says sales in grand forks / east grand forks have been pretty consistent over the years. He says the slight drop-off is likely tied to a tight supply of homes on market right now. Colter says the 93 homes that sport "for sale" signs are about half of what the number should be. the smaller inventory also means most homes don’t stay on the market very long.
while a lot of factors influence price the average sale so far in 2013 is around 195-thousand dollars.
